Demonic Altar Magick - Pagan Practices for Infernal Practitioners

"Demonic Altar Magick" is a foundational course in the theory and practice of Vesperian altar magick, examining the altar as a living interface between the practitioner and the infernal current. Drawing from pre-Christian pagan temple practice, Semitic demonological tradition, and Vesperian liturgical structure, this course situates the altar not as a decorative object, but as a consecrated locus of presence, memory, and authority. Students are guided through the construction, consecration, and long-term maintenance of a functional demonic altar, with particular attention given to spatial orientation, material selection, elemental balance, and the ethics of infernal devotion. Emphasis is placed on discipline, restraint, and continuity of practice rather than spectacle or aesthetic excess. The altar is treated as a site of covenant—where offerings, vows, and works are anchored into physical form. A central component of the course is the Graven Image: its theological justification within Vesperianism, its distinction from idol worship as condemned in Abrahamic texts, and its role as a vessel rather than a god. Students will learn the symbolic and practical requirements for fashioning a Graven Image suitable for demonic presence, including proportion, abstraction versus figuration, inscription, and ritual animation. The image is approached as a seat of resonance—capable of housing attention, memory, and infernal force without conflating representation with divinity. The course also addresses common errors in modern infernal practice, including devotional instability, improper consecration, and the misuse of images as substitutes for disciplined work. Historical precedents from Near Eastern temple cults, household shrines, and forbidden magical traditions are examined to contextualize Vesperian altar magick within a broader lineage of embodied ritual.
